By state law, a school district that wishes to make improvements that cost more than $500,000 per site, must submit a copy of the plan to the Commissioner of Education. The Commissioner reviews the plan and for educational and economic advisability. The plan can receive a favorable or unfavorable rating and will make that information available to the public.
